protects the people's rights of freedom of speech, freedom of press, free exercise of religion, free trade agreement of association and all other such rights of the people. my second amendment advances the fundamental principle of political equality for all by empowering congress and the states the right to regulate political spending. it will allow congress to pass campaign finance reform legislation that will withstand constitutional challenges. mr. speaker, we need to empower people, not corporations or big money special interests. our current system has been corrupted. it undermines the rights of ordinary citizens. it undermines our democracy. surely this is not the system our founders envisioned. the preamble to the constitution is we the people. let us hope that this congress doesn't forget that. i ask my colleagues to join me in supporting these important bills to reform our campaign finance laws and assure that corporate rights do not trumps people's rights. thank you. i yield back the balance of my time. the speaker pro tempore: the gentleman yields back the balance of his time. t

a major role in solving the country's party is either party? no. religion? laughable. good morning. caller: yes, the government has a role. how do people think we got all the major things in our country? my husband and i are both gun owners and that is what this is pointing at. we are responsible. we have a gun safe that no one can get n. these guns are taken out for protection, one for protection my husband has it and no one touches it. the only time it's taken out is for shooting or for hunting. there is a number of bullets given to my son who is a grown man. but i was taught and my family were taught if you can't take a deer down in two sholts then you have no business shooting. so you go to a gun range and learn to shoot. these high capacities are not needed. if gun ranges want to have them there there should be a law they could. that would increase a business and go shoot those guns. no one needs these high capacity rounds. but our government does have a role. look at how our history on mental health for instance. we used to have them in institutions. these institutions were cruel. wh

influences and the like. >> to my knowledge there aren't any studies looking at the religion related to media violence use. one of the things i'm concerned about is that i believe there are other risk factors include kids who are isolated from healthy loving communities, from adult role models, and especially those kids who are growing up in violent areas, their dad hit their mom at home in a violent neighborhood so it's not safe to go outside. those kids might be at home with tv and video games nothing else to do. there were some studies on tv influence and what quantity of tv are you watching and link it to aggression and crime. but those kids might well have been watching tv because they had nothing else to do. that it is the only thing there to relieve their bordm. host: from twitter. is there a direct correlation between the way kids play and act out? guest: from what i understand -- it's an absolutely normal healthy child development for boys to do what they call rough and tumble play. they do stuff in groups, aggressive stuff, to see who is on top and work out the hierarchy and my impr

going on where people who had taken on certain religions were not voting. i saw the felonies that people wanted to change in the community. as far as supporting him in those areas of his new agenda, you have to understand that he had four years to clean up america and he has done a wonderful job. he pulled together a campaign and put diversity all over. we have to stop looking at presidential issues and look at what is at hand. we need to stop hiding behind a wall and congress should helpless do that, not fair to the people, the children that were killed. who is going to work? who is going to take on the new america if there are no people to take it on? thank you for allowing me to have my opinion. i truly feel that american citizens that lived and died for us, thank you to them for allowing us to have this conversation. >> the eugene robinson -- host: the eugene robinson piece this morning, "no longer the black president." "the verdict of his presidency will depend on what he accomplishes in his second term." host: that is the piece from eugene robinson, "no longer the black president."

the barriers that separated those of different race and region and religion, and where there had been mistrust, built unity, with a respect for diversity, that we had found productive work for those able to perform it, that we had strengthened the american family, which is the basis of our society, that we had ensured respect for the law and equal treatment under the law, for the weak and the powerful, for the rich and the poor, and that we had enabled our people to be proud of their own government once again. i would hope that the nations of the world might say that we had built a lasting peace, based not on weapons of war but on international policies which reflect our own most precious values. these are not just my goals -- and they will not be my accomplishments, but the affirmation of our nation's continuing moral strength and our belief in an undiminished, ever-expanding american dream. thank you very much. >> here's for from the list of inauguration we found from the academy. polk was in 1845. buchanan inauguration was the first known to be photographed. during lincoln's second inaugura
